a little help, whenever you need it.

from your first saved essay to a question about your subscription, you’re in the right place.

your first good read

Sign in with Apple, choose a name and a few interests if you’d like, and add a public article link from Home. Once an article has finished importing, open it to read. Private or paywalled pages may not be supported.

Use the reader’s display controls to adjust fonts, text size, and appearance. Hold on text to select a passage, highlight it, and add a note.

purchases, trials, and cancellation

Read Pro has monthly and annual plans. Your app’s paywall shows the current price and any trial you are eligible for. TestFlight purchases do not charge real money; App Store purchases do.

Already subscribed? In Read, open Profile → Settings → Restore Purchases. Use the Apple Account that made the purchase and allow the app to connect to the internet.

Want to cancel? Open iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Read → Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. Removing the app or deleting your Read account does not cancel billing. Apple’s subscription cancellation guide explains the steps.

For refunds or unexpected charges, use Apple’s refund request page. If Read Pro still hasn’t unlocked after restoring, email us with your device model, app version, and the error shown. Do not send passwords or payment card information.

help with Reading Focus

Open Reading Focus from Home or the lock control inside an article. Allow Screen Time access, select the distractions you want to restrict, choose a duration, and start your session. Read Pro is required.

Only your chosen apps, categories, or websites are restricted. This is not the iOS system Focus setting and does not silence every notification. To stop early, reopen Reading Focus and choose End Session.

If restrictions do not work, check Screen Time permission, update Read, and try starting a new session. Tell us your iOS version and what happened if the problem continues.

offline reading and exports

Importing a new article needs internet access. Saved text can be read offline once downloaded. External images and links may still need a connection; check that the article opens before travelling.

To export, open Profile → Settings → Export Highlights & Notes, or the export controls in Notes. Read shares a Markdown file through iOS. You can import that file into apps such as Notion or Obsidian; this is not an automatic connection to those accounts. Export requires Read Pro.

your profile and account

Your name and photo can be edited in Profile. A photo is optional. Apple may share a name only the first time you authorize sign-in, so Read also lets you choose what you’d like to be called.

For account deletion and what happens to your reading, see delete your account. For other privacy requests, read our Privacy Policy or email us.

tell us what happened

Email notcodesid@gmail.com. Include your iPhone or iPad model, iOS version, Read version, and the steps that caused the issue. A screenshot or the public article link can help. Please remove private information from screenshots and never send your Apple password.
